Alaska utility prepares for geothermal exploration well

Many Stars Coal-to-liquids (CTL) final project agreements executed

The Crow Tribe and Australian-American Energy Co. LLC (AAEC) are pleased to announce they have executed the final project agreements for the Many Stars coal-to-liquids project to be constructed on the Crow Indian Reservation.

Philippine government pushes investments in renewable energy project

The Philippines remains the second largest producer of geothermal energy with installed power generation capacity of 1.958 MW. This was boosted by the operation last July 2008 of three geothermal service contracts in Biliran, Leyte; Amacan, Compostela Valley and Mabini, Batangas that generate a combined capacity of 100 MW of electricity that translate to savings in the oil import bill of $1.8 billion or P76 billion.
